If the seams are "crimped", are you sure they are leaking? Usually crimped roof seams, have a butyl seal strip inside the crimp.

Crimped seams are usually not separated and are factory sealed. Did you pry them apart or did they come apart easily? They can be pounded together if previously crimped, but it is not ideal....
